![]() Lastly, we “installed” a 750 GPH bilge pump that was added without any modification to the boat and is completely removable. Original seat cushions are included as well – they’re usable today or ready to pattern for some nice new Sunbrella. We have a frame for a Bimini top – no canvas is included, but it wouldn’t take heavy lifting to add it if you want some shade. Included extras: A canvas mooring cover is included – there is a small rip at the rear that could be easily mended. Very little water seeps and the hull should take up (swell to waterproof) nicely on a dock or mooring. The motor goes from idle to top smoothly, cycles plenty of water, and gets the boat on plane without complaint. The boat has been on the water this summer, and she has performed as she should. As part of the 2005 restoration, the trailer was painted, and new wheel bearings were installed. The trailer is a 1975 Holsclaw C-900 with a tilt tongue (for less-than-ideal boat ramps). A brand-new Interstate group 24 battery, new spark plugs, and a fresh impeller were installed this spring. It’s in excellent condition and has plenty of push to get the boat on plane. She’s powered by a 1962 Johnson RX 10R 28 hp that was completely rebuilt in 2002. She’s been kept out of the sun, and we don’t fill the hull to swell it (keeping the hull joints from stretching, a problem encountered with so many lapstrake boats). The lapstrake hull is tight, and the mahogany decking, seating, and trim are bright and solid. It’s a two-owner boat, under the current owner’s stewardship for the last 65 years. It remains in this fully renewed condition today. ![]() Bobbie is a 1954 Lyman 15-foot Center Steer Runabout that was completely restored by Chris Cushman of Androscoggin Wooden Boat Works in 2005.
